So, you are looking to grow a super long beard but do not know what it requires to help keep it maintained, long and beautiful. I am going to break it down for you so you can go out and rock that beard.
With having a long beard, its going to cost money because that beard is going to require a lot of product and there is no way of really getting around that. And if you want to keep that beard condition and moisturized, you are going to have to use the product daily.
Patience is Key
Patience is going to be a hard one, because you want it to be the perfect length but do not want to go through what they call the ‘’awkward’’ stage. It is going to take a lot of patience because for those first few weeks it gets itchy and red and irritated and you will just want to get out the razor and shave it all off. But just be patient and you will have that luscious beard in no time!
Trimming and Shaping on a Regular Basis
Trimming: You might think that, why trim it when I want it long. What most people do not understand is that beards can get split ends too and its harder for the hair to grow when that happens. So, trimming it a quarter to half an inch every month will help your beard grow.
Shaping: A long beard can look messy and untidy, so shaping it every two weeks to make it look neat and symmetrical will come a long way to having that luscious beard you want.
The Right Tools
You are going to need the right tools to ensure your beard comes out looking nice, clean, and tidy. So, with the right tools you will get the job done. You will need a good brush instead of a comb because with a comb it will pull the hair out more than a brush will. When brushing, brush from the roots down and it will ensure you will not get tangles. If tangles occur, gently use a comb to untangle them. A good moisturizing oil will help condition and hydrate the skin. When applying the oil make sure its from the roots all the way down to the ends. Since beard hair is coarser than the hair on the top of your head it will need more conditioning to make it look healthy.
It is going to take a lot of time and patience for you to get that luscious beard of yours but in the end, it will be well-worth the wait.
